Brief description:

Hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC) is a derivative of cellulose with both water solubility and organic solubility. It is used as a topical ophthalmic protectant and lubricant.

Specifications:

L-HPC is available in different particle sizes, which make the material suitable for tableting, "anti-capping" or pelletization and extrusion.

Application:

HPC is used in pharmaceutical industry as cohesive agent, pill coating, and low release agent;

1.      mainly as disintegrating agent and adhesive agent for solid preparations. It can make tablet easier to disintegrate and improve hardness and glossiness of the tablet.

2.      To improve the formability, brittleness and evacuation as well as improve hardness and accelerate tablet disintegrate for some big fragile tablets with high elasticity

3.      L-HPC is useful as disintegrant with low chemical side-reactivity, for direct compression and pelletization (fast disintegrating pellets).

Used as fresh-keeper for food, fruit and vegetables, and surface decoration for pastry, candy, chocolate with unique good effect;

Used in industry mainly as disperser to produce PVC with suspension-method, such got PVC product presents uniform granule distribution, good plasticizing and adsorptive effect as well as excellent workability;

Used as thickening agent in oil-dissolving coating, glue bond, ink, cosmetics, paint remover, dry cells etc;

Used as controlled releaser in air freshening agent, solid spice, lavatory deodorant etc;

Used as fiber treatment agent, mixer of sand slurry and cement as well as coating agent for paper, protecting film for metal surface;
